But the brutal truth of my fartyness has hit me hard, courtesy of social media and blogging, and it’s the weirdest thing ever. A bit like the first time I saw my bald spot on a security camera in Boots. Can’t deny it.
The story is, we started this blog a few weeks ago when we launched our new website, and I had a pretty good idea of how I wanted it to read. Lots of interesting articles that mums and dads would find really useful, like travelling with baby, or swimming with baby, or something else, also with baby. Turns out that isn’t the way it’s done at all. It’s way more personal.
Actually, I think what I really want to say is ‘truthful’. Bloggers are telling people the truth about their lives, their feelings, where they go and what they do. And this is what’s made me feel so old! People my age don’t tell all and sundry their life’s private business!
But that’s exactly what blogs are all about – reaching out to everyone around you. And other people follow because everyone knows what the truth looks like, plus it’s good to know it isn’t just you coping with the ups and downs life throws at you.
So now we’ve got our heads around it, there’s plenty me and my wife Toni will be sharing with you from now on. We’ll be telling you about how we fit family life with three children and a dog around running a franchising business. And we’ll be sharing the joys and challenges that come with two of those three children having ASDs. Plus there’ll be tons about the business itself, including how and why we do what we do.
But as hint on the above, it’s basically about love and memories. We believe in it heart and soul.
